We chose the name Mana Kai because of its Hawaiian meaning:  Mana is life-energy/sacred force and Kai is water.  Our two favorite places in the world are Hawaii, where we are originally from, and Lake Tahoe.  Our complex was formerly Travelers Inn and Suites.  We have converted the property from a motel into much needed affordable long term housing for the residents of South Lake Tahoe.
